It has been quite some time since I’ve shared some of Little A’s fashion picks. And I honestly don’t know why. The girl is way better dressed than I am and 100% has her own sense of fashion at almost 4 years old. She’s opinionated about what she wears, knows what she does and doesn’t like (yes to dresses and skirts, no to jeans most of the time), and has no problem being vocal about it. I love that about her!
We did some back to preschool shopping the other weekend and I thought I’d share some of the outfits she’s created.
I do have to give credit where it’s due. The hubs actually found the raglan sweater at Gap and showed it to Little A, which she immediately added to her pile.
Like I said before, the girl loves dresses and skirts. So we also picked up this striped shift dress that I know will look adorable with her pink booties or Mary Jane’s.
Most of the time we shop at Old Navy and Gap for Little A. They have great sales (especially Old Navy) and their toddler clothes are usually pretty on point. But I do shop Nordstrom for a few items. I picked up both the Mary Jane’s and the booties at the Anniversary Sale in July. Kids can be hard on shoes and that’s one area where I don’t mind spending a bit more. We scored the Tom’s rain boots at a local store in the small town where my in-laws live about 6 months ago, but they are still available on the Tom’s website.
Oh and this bomber jacket. You guys, when I saw this, I knew she had to have it. And she agreed. But she wanted a size larger, so we got her a 5T! 5T!! I couldn’t believe we actually got her a few things in 5T, anticipating her growing during the winter. She has really long legs (she takes after her parents, I’m almost 5’10” and my hubby is 6’4″) and outgrows her pants quickly, so getting them a size up is what we usually do, but it just makes me a little sad knowing how quickly she’s growing.
I have to say, I much prefer shopping for baby girl versus shopping for myself. Kids clothes are way cuter and just helping them find their sense of style is so much fun.
What are your go to stores for back to school shopping?
