Spring is next week!! And honestly, I’m over this Seattle winter. All this rain is killing my soul. We have had an inordinate amount of rain this winter, plus a lot more snow than usual (although I don’t mind that fact), and it has made for just all around sloppiness. The fact that spring is Monday makes my heart very happy. It’s time for me to put away my cold weather gear and break out the light weight fabrics again!
When the seasons change I like to think about new trends in fashion. And by fashion I mean workout fashion. Because we all know that’s practically what I live in. When you workout as often as I do, you need a decent amount of workout gear so you aren’t doing laundry every few days.

These are my picks for spring.
1 // The Fully Focused Top is so fun! I love the interlocking x-back straps!
2 // The Stealth Mesh 7/8 Tights are fabulous! I am loving the 7/8 trend.
3 // Each year I get a new sports bra. They just get kind of gross after awhile, ya know? The Full Focused sports bra is cute and provides great support for my HIIT training. It comes in lots of colors and patterns as well.
4 // The Ready Set Go shorts are the only shorts I wear to workout in. They are so comfy and have built in undies so you feel a little supported.
5 // I always have to have water with me, and the SOMA glass water bottles are awesome! They are shatter resistant and I love the colored silicone sleeves!
6 // Under Armour carries my go to socks. They are light weight and perfect for the gym or running.
7 // Athleta’s Chi Tank is by far my favorite top for working out. I love the new colors they have this year!
8 // I usually go dark on my workout bottoms, but I LOVE the High Rise Jacquard Capri in slate grey/white. I love the mesh detailing on the side and it has pockets!
I always recommend you have a pair of shoes for running and a pair of shoes for weight training/bootcamp/HIIT. There is a HUGE difference in how the shoes support your feet for different activities. They also make a big difference on your performance. For training my hubby has the Nike MetCon’s and that’s the next pair of shoes I’ll be getting for training as well (and they’re on sale!). My current training shoes are about 7 years old. No joke.
I also love my Mizuno Wave Riders. I’ve gone through 4 or 5 generations of Wave Riders and have loved them. The Wave Rider 20s are out now and I plan to pick up a pair this summer.
I love going into spring and summer with new fitness gear. New clothing always motivates me to workout harder. Plus with the new athleisure trend, having cute fitness clothing is a must!
What’s your favorite type of workout clothing to get?
